1. Family members :
Facebook gives users the option to add other users to their profile as family members, this feature allows relatives and family members of a user to be visible on their profile upon accepting the request to be added as family members. This information is public and can be seen by other users who visit a profile. This can be useful when proving the authenticity of a profile, as profiles with family members are less likely to be fake than those without.
2. Photos and post :
The number of post shared by a user is another way of judging if a profile is true or setup to impersonate. A user hiding behind the identity of someone else would not have too many photos or post to share.
3. Last post date :
A user with multiple Facebook account might find it difficult to administer them both and this lack of administration will be more evident in the fake profile, partly due to the reason describe in two above and because they have their real account to administer, the last activity date on a fake profile is always late.
4. Promotional Content:
Fake Facebook Profile in most cases are set up to promote and market product a user would not want to be directly associated with and as such, majority of the contents shared on these fake accounts are promotional content, so when next you find yourself in a conversation with a stranger online and all they want to do is market a service or get you to sign up on some website, chances are the account is fake.
5. Raunchy Photos :
When a fake user is not trying to promote contents, they might be looking to defraud unsuspecting users by luring them with photos of inappropriately dressed women, when a female user seem not to mind putting her goods out in public by sharing raunchy photos of themselves on their profile, chances are someone else is behind such an account.
